Sapele Area Command: PCRC Swears-in New Executive Members, Launches N200 Million Police Office Complex

The Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC,  Sapele Area Command, has sworn-in her newly elected executive members and launched the ultra modern complex situated in Sapele town for the newly created Police Command .
Those inaugurated included Comrade Oliver Eyefia as Chiarman, Barr Blessing Omene, Secretary and Chief Nnamdi Uwalaka, Public Relations Officer (PRO).
Others were Rev. Benson Oritsela, Vice Chairman, Chief Amreya Victor, Treasurer and Mr Robinson Okpehor, Provost.
The Chairman of PCRC, Delta State, Chief Mrs Odet Emo, SSA to the Governor on Women Development in her opening speech, said the reason for PCRC was to bridge the gap between the police and the community.
While noting that PCRC has been in existence for 34 years, she appreciated the Area Commander for the good work he was doing since he assumed office and encouraged him to keep this up..
She called on the general public to support the DPO in their areas and give them maximum cooperation, since the issue of security was for all, saying the police could not be everywhere at the same time.
She added that useful and necessary information should be given to the police at all time to enable them do their job well.
Chief Odet commended SEPLAT and Okpe Community over their contributions in building a befitting office complex for the Police in the command.

In his remark at the occasion, the Commander, Sapele Area Command, ACP Mamman Sale Rijau thanked everyone that graced the occasion and urged the communities under his command to give adequate information to the police.
He stated that three weeks ago, the command was able to arrest two suspected kidnappers and recover three AK47 riffle, adding that in the Month of March alone, 18 armed robbers were killed by the command.
ACP Rijau expressed happiness that the Chairmen of the local government under his command were able to grace the occasion as they are the Chief Security Officers of their respective Local government areas and urged them to encourage the PCRC in their domain, for through them, police can get relevant information when necessary.
Present at the occasion were the Chairman Sapele Local Government Area, Hon. Chief Eugene Okpeh Inoaghan, the Chairman, Ethiope West Local Government Council, Hon. Solomon Golley, and the Chairman of Ethiope East Local Government Council, Hon. Chief Faith Majemite.
Highlights of the event were the investiture of an ‘Award of Excellence’ on the Commander of the Sapele Area Command, A.C.P Mamman Sale Rijau. And the inauguration of the PCRC Area Command Executive members, as well as the launching of the N200,000,000 ultra-modern Area Command complex.
