COVID-19: Comply With Directives Of The State Government, Delta CP To Residents
-Charges Police Officers To Be Professional In Discharge Of Duties

The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Police Command, CP Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa, has called on citizens of the state to remain law-abiding and voluntarily comply with the measures put in place by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State to prevent the spread of Coronavirus in the state.
In a press statement signed by DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Delta State Command, Asaba, while re-affirming the command’s determination to strictly enforce the orders (including the one from the presidency), he said that anyone found wanting will face the full wrath of the law.
The press statement added: “Consequently, the Commissioner of Police has directed all Area Commanders, DPOs and Heads of Tactical/Operational Departments of the Command to ensure strict enforcement of the orders.”
He further charged all police officers to be professional in the discharge of their duties as any contrary act or conduct will attract severe disciplinary measures/sanctions and to observe the stipulated personal measures on COVID-19.
Meanwhile, he urged citizens of the state to be vigilant, focused and adhere to stipulated preventive measures against COVID-19 and to report anyone found violating the law to the nearest Police Station or by calling the Command’s Control Room Number on 08036684974.
