UPU Youthwing Condoles Evance Ivwurie, As Former Lawmaker Buries Wife

The President of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Youthwing, Worldwide, Comrade Efemena Umukoro, has commiserated with a former lawmaker in Delta State, Hon. Evance Ivwurie, immediate past Member representing Ethiope East in the Delts State House of Assembly, as he (Ivwurie) laid his wife to rest in Abraka yesterday.

The youth leader yesterday joined family members, friends and well-wishers of the lawmaker and the deceased to bid farewell to Late Mrs. Avwerosuoghene Evance-Ivwurie.

Speaking to journalists, Umukoro who was accompanied by the UPU Youthwing Publicity Secretary, Godstime Ukuanovwe and the Assistant Director of Protocol, Agagaraga Dennis Okeoghene, said: “It is sad that we lost such a rare gem. But, our solace and consolation is in God.

“She is a worthy daughter of Urhobo nation who takes into cognizance the core values, customs and traditions of Urhobo people. She is an intelligentia, a chief strategist and wisdom hub.”

Adding: “Indeed she will surely be missed by all and sundry.

“At a time like this that the final funeral rite has been concluded, we pray that God grant her humble soul eternal rest.”

To Hon Evance and the Ogbebor family he urged them to find solace that she is in the bosom of God, as he prayed that God grants them the grace to continue to bear the loss.
