UPU Youthwing President, Umukoro Dares Detractors From Taiga’s Faction To List Achievements, As He Outlines 15 Accomplishments

The President of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Youthwing, Comrade Efemena Umukoro, has dared the executive of the Taiga faction of the youth executive, describing them as detractors.

In a statement, the youth leader, added: “My outburst against the Governor’s town hall meeting was burn out of anger against some Urhobo youths who have so much disgraced the Urhobo nation because of GREED and POVERTY..

“If not for the sake of some troubleshooters who do not want the progress of Urhobo youths, the office of the President of Urhobo Progress Union, UPU Youthwing is a reverred position. The president must not be a card carrying member of any political party and must not be seen to be a loyalist of any politician or party.

“The president must not be seen bidding for contracts or soliciting funds and lastly, the president must be able to defend, provide and protect Urhobo youths at all cost.

“Hence, I am not a member of any political party and I have been neutral in decision making that affects both the State and Federal.

“But in UPU Youthwing Worldwide, the opposite of the above is what we see today. It is shameful and sad that while I was busy protecting Urhobo youths, fighting for their rights and providing jobs, training etc, those who claim to be a faction against me were busy bootlicking some politicians. You see them at government functions tying wrappers and waiting for ‘ISHEWAGRE’. Also, you find them at burial ceremonies after snapping pictures they go to Facebook to claim President of UPU Youthwing”.

He asked: “Why did they delay for six months before giving me a faction? Because of GREED, the likes of Chief Taiga and Hon Vincent Oyibode decided to create faction to fight against Urhobo progress and unity.

“When I and my exco members were busy sharing palliative to our aged mothers in the 24 kingdoms during the COVID 19 pandemic, where were they? Mind you, no single politician or individual gave us one naira. This gesture even earned me an award from a reputable organization, INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION, FLORIDA, USA.

“In six months of office, I have retrieved over 14million naira from security operatives (Police and Army) where where were they? Including retrieving 420,000 from a police man attached to Government House, Asaba control room. (which earned me an award from NATIONAL UNION OF URHOBO STUDENT AS THE BEST UPU YOUTH PRESIDENT OF ALL TIME 2020).”

He continued: “When little Elo John was defiled, myself and my exco took full responsibility of the case, treatment of the little girl and ensured the young man goes to jail. Where were those socalled faction? Or is it just to tie wrapper or answer the name UPU Youthwing President that is their aim?

“When Fulani herdsmen invaded Agadama Community, who did the youth call? Who brought in bational TV stations (Channels, TVC News, AIT and Arise to cover it? It was same me and my exco

“When AGADAMA Youth Chairman was killed, who arranged the burial ceremony? Who opened the condolence register for the family? Jt was same me.

“In all these, we did not get a single donation from any individual, not even the government.

exco organised CCtv installation for over Urhobo Youths. The cost of the program was 750,000naira only ( for the first time a prominent Urhobo youth in USA assisted us with 240,000 naira which he paid directly to the account of the consult.

“WHEN THE POLICE WAS LOOKING FOR OUR KING TO ARREST IN EVWRENI , IT WAS MYSELF AND EXCO THAT WENT TO FORCE HEADQUATERS TO MEET WITH DCP YUSUF KOLO ,( OC STS Abuja ). WE GOT AN MOU WITH THE POLICE ( FOR SECURITY REASON I WOULDNT GIVE DETAILS HERE )

“WHEN THE VIGILANTEE CHAIRMAN OF EVWRENI WAS ARRESTED AND LATER DIED IN DETENTION , I WAS THE ONE WHO SEEK FOR PROPER DETAILS ON HOW HE DIED, THE POLICE IS FUNITURING MY OFFICE WITH PROVE ALREADY .

“It was Regha O Godfrey who informed me of the arrest. Immediately, I made contacts to Force Headquaters Abuja and then to the workaholic CP of Delta State. We got a bargain and I was able to release Mr Prince Nicholas Makalomi.

“It is no longer news that I, Comr Efemena Umukoro made UPU Youthwing Worldwide attractive and very respected outside Nigeria

“It will further interest you all to know that I have found a branch of UPU Youthwing in Europe . If not for Covid-19, I and my Exco would have gone to inaugurate the new branch. The name of the Europe PRESIDENT IS OCHE SAMSON AKPORE FROM ABRAKA KINGDOM. HE IS BASED IN ITALY. ”

Speaking further, he said that his achievement in office within the short period is enormous.

“The Delta State Governor should be careful with those handling his meetings. They will cause more damage to him than good. The Honorable Commissioner of Youth should understand that he is a youth. He must bring his shoulder down. He must learn how to take decisions without sentiment and learn to respect everybody.That he is HC today is by God’s grace. He must do away with PRIDE. He called on Urhobo youths to judge and decide who is for the interest of Urhobo youths.
