OYC Condemns Killing Of Security Operatives In Oton
By Our Reporters
The Okpe Youth Council Worlwide (OYC) has risen against the recent killings, by yet to be identified persons, of a military and a police officer, at the Oton military check point in Sapele LGA of Delta State.
The youths who spoke through their President General, Hon. Harrison Ekeleme, said, “Okpe land is a quiet place, urging the security apparatus “not to be distracted by the killings but to be at alert and focused to forestall further break down of law and order in the area.”
Hon. Ekeleme also urged the youths of the area to maintain peace, law and order and not to be polluted by pockets of faceless cultists and hoodlums who have been terrorising the area in recent times, adding that “the law will catch up with criminals in the area.”

He called on the law enforcement agents to “unravel the killers of the officers and bring them to justice to serve as deterrent to others.”
He commiserated with the families and well wishers of the fallen officers, praying that “God should grant them the fortitude to bear the lost.
He called on the youths to strive hard and find their hands in useful ventures that will provide food on their tables, particularly at this moment when the country is experiencing economic challenges.
“The youths are the leaders of tomorrow. They must learn to constitute themselves in an orderly manner in order for them to fulfil their destinies,” he said.
