JUST IN: Ogboru Set To Revalidate APC Membership
By Daniel Dafe, Abraka
The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2019 elections in Delta State, Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, is set to revalidate his membership in line with the directive of the party’s leaders.
According to sources, he is expected to arrive Abraka today.
Plans are underway to receive the Peoples General who will storm Abraka Ward 1 to revalidate his membership on Thursday.
Meanwhile, his coming back days to the local government election may be connected to the council elections in the state. Many believe that his presence could boost the performance of his party’s Chairmanship and councillorship candidates, especially in his local government area.
This development puts to rest rumors that he has concluded arrangements to dump the ruling APC for another party before the 2023 elections in order to pursue his guber ambition after several unsuccessful attempts.

At the time of filing this report, a close associate to the politician when contacted, while speaking to us via a telephone conversation and did not want his name in print, said Chief Ogboru will leave the state as soon as he is done with his membership revalidation of the APC.
Asked if Ogboru will stay behind to monitor events during the council polls, he said while he is sure that the Peoples General will give his encouragement in his own way to candidates and the party, but, he will return back immediately.
While expressing pessimism, saying that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have already written results in their favor, he said it will take a miracle for any other party to emerge victorious in the polls.
“We have tried our best in time past and again now. But, we know the outcome. However, we will just keep on doing what we can while we hope that something good happens. But, we don’t have confidence in DSIEC,” he added.
