Ethiope East Chairman Visits Shepherd Care Orphanage/Widow Centre In Eku

In line with the “05 INITIATIVE” vision of the wife of the Executive Governor of Delta State, Her Excellency Dame Edith Okowa as directed, and with the support of the Executive Chairman Ethiope East Local Government Area, Rt Hon (Pharm) Victor Ofobrukueta through his wife, Mrs Julie Ofobrukueta, visited Shepherd Care Orphanage and Widows Centre, EKk in line with the scripture, Matt 25; 35-36.


Receiving the wife of the Executive Chairman, Ethiope East Local Government Council, Mrs Julie Ofobrukueta, and her entourage, the founder of Shepherd Care Orphanage Home, Rev Richard O. Obarorakpor, said: “This is an August Visitor. I can feel the love you have for these kids and you just demonstrated it despite your short term in office. I have heard a lot of good deeds about your husband, Rt Hon Pharm OFOBRUKUETA VICTOR and I pray he should extend his kind gesture to us. Though we have various challenges, our goal is to make these children live lives that is beyond people’s perception.”

In her response, Mrs Julie Ofobrukueta, who couldn’t hold her tears over the nonchalant and lackadaisical attitude of some parents, thanked the founder of the orphanage and his wife for taking such herculean responsibility upon themselves and pray that God should see them through in all future endeavors.”

I’m perplexed and dumbfounded at this saga tales, “Mama Delta”, the wife of the Executive Governor of our dear state, Dcn Mrs Dame Edith Okowa knows the pain of our children, she’s empathetic and Godly hence the introduction of this “O5-Initiative to ameliorate some of these challenges. She’s directed us (wives of LGC Chairmen) to do the needful in assisting and bringing these program to all orphanage homes across the State. I’ll also channel your challenges to the appropriate authority. Within the span of time my husband, Rt Hon Victor Ofobrukueta remains in office, his works and assistance towards your project will be visible and remarkable…..keep the good work Sir, the Lord is your strength”, she added.

Highlights of the visit was the presentation of food items and cash gift to the founder of the Orphanage Home, Rev & Mrs Richard Obarorakpor.

The wife of the Executive Chairman, Mrs Julie Ofobrukueta was accompanied by: Mrs Michelle Aganbi (Wife of the SLG), Mrs Julie Inaba (Wife of Councillor Rep Ward 14), Mrs Anthonia Iroje (Women Development Officer), Comr Christy Evueh
(Ass Women Devt Officer) and others.
