The Hypocrisies And Pretentiousness Of A Supposedly Righteous Governor: Ifeanyi Okowa In View
By Nelson Idoro
It is totally undemocratic and insensitive on the part of the Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Working Committee to come out without shame and announce the suspension of Senetor Peter Nwaoboshi who without fear or sentiment decided to speak the truth to the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Sen. Authur Ifeanyi Okowa.
It is no longer news that His Excellency, Sen. Authur Ifeanyi Okowa, the Executive Governor of Delta State, has performed far below his predecessors in the office. His sycophants have shamefully christened him a false name, “The Road Master” which has made him and his cronies to think that they are enjoying the praises of the people of Delta State.
It is time party members tell themselves the truth in other to help measure up in the delivery of good governance and dividends of democracy to the people.
The State Working Committee members of Delta State’s Peoples Democratic Party have before the good people of Delta state shown themselves as being among the few who have been pocketing Delta people’s money, which has plunged the state deeper in its economic hardship and lack of infrastructural development. It is a huge shame to members of the PDP who many see as the only viable party that can unseat this Buhari and All Progressive Congress (APC) led maladministration come 2023, to engage themselves in such shameful act by shunning the truth instead of upholding the trust reposed on them by Deltans. The suspension of Senetor Peter Nwaoboshi which was obviously masterminded by Okowa simply because he came out boldly to tell the Governor some bitter truths which nobody around him has ever told him is a miscalculation and unbecoming of a supposed democrat who has displayed a thin skin and lacks civil tendencies in a democratic government.
Can the Delta State Peoples Democratic Party SWC come out to show Deltans one road instituted and adequately completed by the Okowa government that is without a visible clause that warranted him bearing the name “The Road Master”? Governor Okowa should be better be addressed as the “The Road Scatterer” rather than the very undeserving name which he is being called.
No part of Delta State is currently enjoying good road network today. Go to Warri and its environs, people run home at the sight of a cloudy weather because of fear of being stuck outside by water after rainfall. Warri has never been this dilapidated in terms of development.
Does the Governor need to be reminded that as the city develops there will be urgent need to consolidate on his predecessors’ work in other not to wreck the people through untold suffering? Do they want to talk about empowerment of the youth that is lopsided? When Deltans think they have seen it all in the Government of Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan then came in Sen. Authur Ifeanyi Okowa the Executive Governor who has performed far lesser than expected.
The Govenor and his puppets should know that Deltans deserve far better than what they are currently serving the good people of the State with.
Signed
