Chief Faith Majemite, A Name Written In The Sphere Of Delta Politics
Honorable Faith Majemite scarcely needs introduction as she has been in the public space, serving, servicing Ethiope-Easterners, Deltans and Nigeria in various capacities since the creation of the State in 1991.
Despite the porus nature of the political game in Delta state, with so many interest groups, she prides herself with unwavering temerity that silenced every voice of her being a woman. She is one of the great Urhobo women in politics today. Her spirit of political sportsmanship and focused ideology cannot be over emphasized.
Hon Chief Faith Majemite, “the Oniemo of Agbon Kingdom” hails from Kokori, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State. She is a grassroot politician loved by her people due to her style of politics of peace building and reaching out to the people with her wealth of benevolence. She is vocal even in the midst of political pressure from forces within the political elites.

Today, Oniemo as she is now fondly called across Delta state, Nigeria and beyond, has established herself in the politics of the state and there is no way the history of Delta politics will not be fair to her when history books will be opened.
She is resilient and determined to change the narrative. She is a political colussus, team-player and fearless who has refused to be stagnant in the political journey, but keep pushing until her people are accorded their rightful place in leadership.
One thing you cannot take away from Hon. Faith Majemite is her philanthropic nature. No wonder the alias King of the Boys (K.O.B) suits her personality perfectly. She has received many prestigious awards, appointments, carrued out lots of humanitarian services and served in elective position from the time of Olorogun Felix Ibru, the then Governor till date.
Hon. Faith Majemite is a mirror and a perfect political role model every of our young women and youth should look up to.
She has raised many political children accross party lines (PDP, APC, SDP, SNP, LABOUR).
In the management of the affairs of the Local Government Council with lean resources, she has shown she is a good manager of human and material resources. Her antecedents will be unveiled in our next article.
Finally, as we race for the Ethiope East House of Assembly seat, this is not the era to throw stones. I will encourage supporters of THE ONIEMO PROJECT to be calm, be contructive and if need may be, engage constructive criticism.
