DELSU VC Swears-In New SUG Executive

Vice Chancellor, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Prof Andy O. Egwunyenga on Wednesday swore-in the newly elected Students” Union Government for the 2021/2022 academic session.
Speaking at the ceremony that took place in Abraka, he urged them to address issues regarding to students, properly by investigating to understand the issues clearly before acting.
He advised them to always remember that their first priority in the university is to study and get their certificate as at when due.
Continuing, he also assured them that his office is always open for them to access through the Dean of students.

He advised them not to allow external forces to mislead them, saying that they can only get things right through DIALOGUE.
Egwunyenga emphasized that they maintain their studentship and to be of good behavior to their lecturers and to their fellow students.
The VC also promised to give priorities to their welfare in the areas of security, lighting up the environment and making the newly built library an interesting place to read.
He encouraged the Students Union to connect with other of their colleagues in other schools and globally.
Meanwhile, the newly sworn-in SUG President, Comr Cyprian C. Odifili, thanked the Vice Chancellor and the school management for all they have done so far for the students and assured the VC that he will do his best to see that he carries everyone along, adding that the Students Union Representative will also contribute their quota in seeing to the school’s development.
