Delta State Commissioner for Lands and Surveys, Barr. (Mrs) Kate Onianwa, has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would vote for anybody that Givernor Ifeanyi Okowa named as his successor.

The commissioner stated this during a meeting with over 200 Delta North PDP women after an evangelism section at the Honour Christian Assembly, AKA Builder’s Chapel, along the Ibusa/Ogwashi Uku Road.

”Members of our great party, the People’s Democratic Party should advise themselves not to jump shift, they should wait for His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Delta State, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, to name his successor and also work towards ensuring that such person will be voted in as the next Governor of the state. We are now in Canaan; we don’t want to go back to Egypt,” she stated.

Onianwa also enjoined the women to cue into Okowa’s programme in line with the actualisation of the stronger Delta mantra, adding that the governor had tried so much in appointing and giving women opportunities to hold political position in the state.

Earlier during the evangelism session that was marked with praises and worship, the commissioner disclosed that the essence of the evangelism section was to help women know Christ and for those who had already known him to get deeper in the Lord Jesus Christ.

She also said that the gathering was non denominational, adding that Christ was the base, the light and the truth that “once you embrace Christ, darkness and crisis would disappear from your life.”
