Majority of the decampees who are loyalists of the honourable member are present and past executives of the People Democratic Party (PDP).

The decampees were ably led by the immediate past Secretary of PDP in Ward six (6), Mr Akposeye Oyokorigha and the current Vice Chairman of PDP in Ward six (6), Mr Hezekiah Raphael, who stated it categorically that the defection came as a result of total abandonment and non-recognition from the party and its leadership over the years.
