Fire Razes Down Residential Building In Warri

Property worth millions of naira has been razed down by fire in Okpikpi Street in Iyara area of Warri, Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The cause of the fire disaster is yet to be known.
However, a resident of the street n, who pleaded anonymity, alleged that the fire outbreak started from the resident of a female tenant in the beleaguered compound.
The source was full of praises to residents of the street, particularly youths, as he said that they prevented the ravaging fire from spreading to the neighbouring compounds before the arrival of men of Delta State Fire Service.

No life was lost to the incident as at the time of filing this report.
The Youth Chairman of the community, Majemite Akubor, who spoke to newsmen on the inferno, expressed sympathy with victims of the fire disaster.
He however admonished that residents should be mindful of what they did with naked fire in order to avoid such unfortunate incidents.
Akubor appealed to the state government, organisations and public spirited Nigerians to come to the aid of the victims.
