Obaseki Hails Appointment Of Rear Admiral Musa as Coordinator, National Counter Terrorism Centre
The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has congratulated Rear Admiral Yaminu Ehinomen Musa (retd) on his appointment as the pioneer Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC).
Obaseki, in a statement, said the appointment was deserving, expressing confidence that Rear Admiral Musa will deploy his wealth of experience in preventing and combatting terrorism and violent extremism, ensuring lasting peace and security in the country.
The governor said, “I heartily congratulate Rear Admiral Yaminu Ehinomen Musa (retd), a fine, cerebral and thoroughbred officer, on his appointment as the pioneer Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC).

“Rear Admiral Musa, an illustrious Edo Son, has by dint of hard work and discipline, continued to distinguish himself, delivering on every role he was assigned. His appointment comes at a time we are in dire need of resilient, brave and gallant officers with the tact, zest and expertise to help overcome the country’s many insecurity challenges.
“Having served as the Director of the Counter Terrorism Directorate in the ONSA since 2017 and the Nigerian representative at the Global Counterterrorism Forum (GCTF) for the last 3 years, I am confident that he will bring to bear his wealth of experience and knowledge in combating terrorism and violent extremism in the country.”
