Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu has called on family members of the late Captain Williams Idahosa Okunbor, popularly known as Captain Hosa to continue to live in one accord to strengthen the cord of unity amongst them.

Shaibu made the call when he joined other dignitaries, family members and associates of the late business mogul at a special church service held in Benin City as part of activities to mark his one-year remembrance.

In the course of the tributes, the Deputy Governor gave an account of how he benefited from the uncommon generosity of the late pilot turned businessman.

Full of emotions, Shaibu said it was difficult to describe Captain as “the late” because he lives in the minds of the people as a man of the people. He described Captain as “a man of peace”, adding that “his departure was only to go and prepare a place for all of us with his painful exit.”

“For us, it’s difficult to say he’s our late brother because he lives on – I have my gains from the generosity of Captain.”

“You have gone to prepare a place for us with your exit, we shall meet to part no more.”
