Ughelli North: SDP Ward Chairman, Excos Did Not Endorse Elijah Idiovwa For DTHA –LGA Chairman

Chairman, Social Democratic Party, SDP, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State, Tega Nikoro, has said that the party did not at any time endorse Elijah Idiovwa for the Delta State House of Assembly race in the area.

One Marcus Goodluck on Tuesday posted on Facebook that Tega and his executive members in the ward endorsed Idiovwa.

Describing the news as fake, Nikoro, said SDP has a candidate and they are sure of victory, just as he called on members of other parties to stop using propaganda to buy the conscience of some section of the electorates that are gullible.

In the same vein, chairman of the party in the state, Amb Oke Idawene JP, said that the success of SDP in the 2023 polls will be a big shock to many.

His words: “We are ready for the election and just waiting for INEC to give the go ahead for campaigns.

“Deltans are wiser and they know that only SDP has solutions to the problems bedeviling the state.

“We have not endorsed any party neither Idiovwa in Ughelli North Constituency 1 nor any other. We won’t; we are ready for elections and will win by His grace.”

He continued: “We are for truth, justice and peace. Those that went to do the endorsement are not known to us. They are not members nor leaders of SDP. Please the public should disregard this in all totality,” he added.
