Why Students Can’t Get More Than 6 Weeks Holiday – DELSU VC

The Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, Prof. Andy Egwunyenga has blamed recent global and national happenings for the short holidays given to students prior a new academic session.
Recall that students are expected to return back to campus on the 26th of November, 2022, making it a period of 10 weeks of holidays
The VC who tweeted on Tuesday while responding to the complain of a student, added that unlike previous times, holidays can no more be 3 months, noting current circumstances.

He tweeted, “Remember consequences of disruptions occasioned by covid, strike, etc. It will take time to have beyond 6 weeks holiday.”
A student in a tweet wondered why the rush to get students back on campus.
