DELSU VC Celebrates End Of Year In Grad Style, Hosts PDP, University Community
In the spirit of the season, the Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka, Professor Andy Egwunyenga on Saturday played host to the leadership of the school community and the Peoples Democratic Party at his home town, Atuma-Iga of Oshimili North Local Government Area.
The event which had in attendance top government functionaries and academic bigwigs was in recognition of the usual benevolent nature of the erudite Professor whose infrastructural and human capital development has become usual from testimonies hence, could be called the Father Abraham of present day dispensation.
It was gathered from testimonies of the people who had travelled from far and near to merry with the Vice Chancellor that the man is a renowned leader who has continually made impact in his administration ranging with much emphasis on how he raised the bar of academic in Delta State first as Rector of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi Uku and Now as the Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka.

In accomplishments of the year goals, Professor Egwunyenga told the media that he is focused on celebrating as it is a norm for him to celebrate with his oeople at his home town which accounts for reason behind the gathering.
One of the beneficiaries who came with his musical team, Ochendo Onwudike Chigbue and danced vigorously with songs of eulogy remarked that Professor Andy Egwunyenga has shown him worth more than love and has proven to be a father above leadership which accounts for reason while his unending loyalty to the Vice Chancellor can never be in doubt while affirming that his life testimonies cannot be completed without mentioning Professor Egwunyenga.
So many other notable public figures were found in the same delight with beaming smiles in the course of the celebration with side attractions. Highpoint of the Event was the commissioning of the School Laboratory in Atuma Iga and the communal dance in company of other olitical bigwigs, academic bigwigs and captains of industries to his palatial place.
Notable among dignitaries present were the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Patrick Ukah, the House of Assembly candidate to represent Oshimili North in Delta State, Barr. Frank Esenwah, the Vice Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Mrs. Uju Okolo, Professor Ben Nwanne, Professor Emmanuel Biri, Dr. Emmanuel Akpoveta, Hon Frank Iwelu, Chief Innocent Uchigbolu, Deacon Collins Ogbor, Engr. Kelvin Anyakwu, Elder Sunny Iwelu, Mrs. Grace Odiakaose, Mr. Richard Okafor, Hon. Chris Nwamgbor, Barr. Israel Ojei, Mrs. Lizzy Chiazor, Chief P.O Chiazor, Mrs. Veronica Chiazor and a host of other party stalwarts, management staff, Directors from the University, Student Union Government, etc
