Oborevwori Congratulates Mayuku At 56

Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has congratulated erstwhile member of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Daniel Mayuku, on his 56th birth anniversary on August 8.

Governor Oborevwori in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, lauded Mayuku for his meritorious service to the State as a former lawmaker and former Executive Director Projects in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC).

He also commended Mayuku, a renowned chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for his unwavering commitment to the party, adding that his humility and diligence contributed immensely to the party’s winning streak in his Warri South West Local Government Area.

According to the Governor, Mayuku’s outstanding leadership, magnanimity and philanthropy would continue to endear him as a ‘man of the people’.

“You have continued to demonstrate uncommon dedication and sound knowledge of the political terrain in our State and this you amply demonstrated as one of the most vibrant members of the State House of Assembly for the 16 years that you represented the people of Warri-South West State Constituency.

“As a rights activist, enthusiastic democrat and advocate for electoral reforms, I can attest to the clarity of your ideas in addition to your commitment to the public good.

“On behalf of my family, the Government and people of Delta, I felicitate with a great son of Delta, Hon. Daniel Omayone Mayuku, a man we are all proud of, on the occasion of his 56th birth anniversary.

“As a man of prodigious intellect, Mayuku has shown immense capacity and dexterity in lawmaking, legislative advocacy and proficiency in building inter-tribal alliances when he represented the people of Warri-South West for 16 years in the State House of Assembly.

“As Chairman House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, he was exceptionally committed to the course of fiscal discipline and appropriate funding of projects to ensure prompt execution,” he said.

The Governor joined family members, friends and associates of the Warri-South West born political tactician and quintessential gentleman in celebrating a life of many accomplishments.

He prayed that Almighty God would strengthen him and grant him good health in his journey of life and continued service to the State and humanity.
