Oruarivie-Abraka Youth Council Gets New Executive, Swears-In Taskforce Members

The newly sworn-in executive of Oruarivie Youth Council, OYC, Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, has hit the ground running after their swearing-in ceremony recently.

The executive members led by Eyitemi Joshua AKA Agbakara, President were recently inaugurated at the palace of the monarch by the traditional ruler, HRM Akpomeyoma Majoroh, Ojeta II.

In order to yield speedy results, the new excos recently swore-in the OYC task force team.

The event took place at the secretariat of OYC, Soboba.

The names of the taskforce members are:

Comrade Oteri Kevwe- Taskforce Chairman

Comrade Marvis- Task force vice chairman

Comr Ogholo Omonigho Franklin, AKA (Omo White) -Head of Operation, Oruarivie Abraka Task Force

Comr Agbaja Onoriode AKA Finest -Deputy of operation

Comr Noble Council Ogboru -Chairman of Peace and Conflict Resolution, Oruarivie Abraka Kingdom

Com. Daniel Enaitor (AKA Young money) – Treasurer

Com. Cletus Igbuzor (AKA Seth)- Fin. Sec

Comr Akpobome Moses AKA Agbalas – Intelligent officer

Comr Bright Akpososo.- Intelligent officer

Speaking to Oasis Magazine after the swearing-in, Joshua, opined that the task force members are the power house of the kingdom.

He added: “They will be the ones to go round and tell me what is happening in the community. They are my eyes in the community.”

According to him, he has mandated all taskforce members to be of good conduct and be guided by the virtue of respect.

He promised to with the cooperation of the taskforce members deal with the issue of cultism and drug abuse in the area.

“We will stop drugs such as Ice and Colorado from being sold in the community. Soon, we will visit all secondary schools and deal with all forms of misconduct.

“Many secondary school students are into cultism and we will visit the schools to eradicate such,” he said.

“Those that want to learn and don’t want others to learn in our secondary schools will be dealt with,” he said.

On his part, Oteri kevwe, said the Youth president has mandated them to deal with issues such as cultism, drug abuse and other vices that pose a threat to the peace of the community.

“Oruarivie is known as a peaceful community because we are children of kings and so we will promote and maintain peace,” he added.
