Glory Ayiwe Bags Okere Urhobo Chieftaincy Title

An Agbarha Warri born political icon, Hon Glory Ayiwe has bagged the exalted title of Awharotovie of Okere Urhobo Kingdom.
Ayiwe who is a Special Assistant (SA) to Governor Oborevwori on Politics was honoured with the chieftaincy title by HRM Morris Oghenechuko Eyekpimi Egboboyen Owhotemu 11, the Orosuen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom on Saturday, 6th April, 2024.
He and other nine persons were conferred with chieftaincy titles.
The new chiefs of Okere Urhobo Kingdom were told the dos and don’ts of chiefs in Okere Urhobo Kingdom by Chief Syvelster Udi (JP) before they were confered with their chieftaincy titles.
Ayiwe, until the chieftaincy conferment was also a former Chairman of Ogunu Community in Warri South Local Government Area.

He is a Delta State University graduate of Business Administration.
Ayiwe is married to Mrs Fumilayo Ayiwe and they are blessed with children.
The Awharotovie of Okere, Urhobo Kingdom who spoke to our correspondent, appreciated the Okere Urhobo monarch for considering him worthy for the honour, just as he vowed to use his chieftaincy conferment for the positive development of Okere Urhobo Kingdom.
He was escorted into the chieftaincy hall by the sensational Udje R ‘ Udu of Aladja.
The Okere Urhobo monarch in his brief speech shortly before the conferment, remarked that the event was a memorable one for the new chiefs.
He however warned that they should be very serious with the dos and don’ts of Okere Urhobo chiefs.
Also, the Otota of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, High Chief (retired Brigadier General )Gold Eburu who also spoke, advised that the new chiefs should be serious with chieftaincy affairs in the kingdom.
