Abeke Tasks Security Agency To End Reign Of Terror In Sapele

The Chairman of Sapele Local Government Area in Delta State, Hon. Bright Abeke, has directed security agencies operating within the council’s jurisdiction to launch a comprehensive crackdown on kidnappers, armed robbers, and thieves, with the ultimate goal of putting an end to the wave of terror plaguing the area.
Speaking during a meeting with security chiefs and stakeholders at the council secretariat, Abeke expressed concern over the rising cases of kidnapping, armed robbery, and theft in Sapele.
He noted that the activities of these criminals have caused fear and anxiety among residents, and urged the security agencies to take decisive action to restore peace and security in the area.
Abeke issued a clarion call to the DSS, Police, Army, Navy, Civil Defence, and all other security agencies to embark on a comprehensive operation to identify, apprehend, and prosecute these criminals.
‘We must put an end to the reign of terror unleashed by kidnappers, armed obbers, and thieves,’ he emphasized.
Adding: ‘Our people deserve to live without fear, and it’s our collective responsibility to ensure their safety and security’.

Abeke also appealed to residents to cooperate with the security agencies by providing timely information about suspicious activities.
He assured that the council will work with the security agencies to ensure that residents are protected and that their contributions lead to the arrest and prosecution of criminals.
“We need the support and cooperation of residents to succeed in this fight against crime,” Abeke said.
He continued: “I urge anyone with information about criminal activities to come forward and share it with the security agencies.”
The security chiefs present at the meeting assured Abeke that they will do everything possible to end the reign of terror in Sapele.
They also commended the chairman for his efforts in supporting the security agencies and urged residents to cooperate with them.
With the chairman’s task to security agencies and his appeal to residents, Sapele is expected to witness a significant reduction in criminal activities.
