Delta Council Polls: Akpowowo Votes In Eku, Says Election Peaceful

Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Olorogun Arthur Akpowowo, has cast his votes in the ongoing council elections in the state
The Deputy Speaker who voted over an hour ago, described the elections as peaceful.
Speaking to Oasis Magazine exclusively, he said: “I voted in Eku and I am monitoring the elections in Ethiope East. I am in Ward 6 now. The election so far has been peaceful in Ethiope East; very peaceful and there is a huge turnout of voters in every unit I have gone to.”
He continued: “As I speak now, I am in Kokori. I have visited all the units in Ekpo and Eku and now I am almost at the last village to Kokori. When I leave here I will go to Isiokolo.”

Furthermore, he said: “While moving around, I am making calls to other places I have not been to and the story is the same everywhere. It is a peaceful election.”
Asked what his message was to Deltans as they cast their votes to elect new council Chairmen and Councillors, he said: “PDP is the Way. They should support PDP. PDP is the party here.”
