NUJ Congratulates Ughelli Chapel Chairman On Appointment As SSA Media To Governor Oborevwori

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Delta State Council has congratulated the Chairman of NUJ Ughelli Correspondents Chapel, Olorogun (Rt. Hon.) Comrade Sunny Apah on his “well deserved appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media.”

Delta NUJ in a statement signed by Comrade Churchill Oyowe and Comrade Victor Sorokwu,
Secretary, added: “The appointment did not come to us as a surprise, considering your political antecedents and pedigree as one time leader of the Ughelli South Legislative Arm.”

The statement reads further: “Moreover as the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the PDP Delta Central political forum, DC-23 that midwifed the emergence of the incumbent Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Comrade Sunny Apah has worked himself through the current power mill in the State.

“You have served meritoriously as Secretary and currently chairman of NUJ Ughelli Correspondent Chapel and we are confident you would bring your ebullient and sagacious wealth of experience to bear on your new executive task.”

Furthermore, the union commended the Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, for appointing one of the union’s “budding political leaders into his media crew.”

“No doubt, the addition of Olorogun (Rt. Hon.) Comrade Sunny Apah into the governor’s media cabinet would buoy the robustness of the crew,” the statement concluded.
