Christians Admonished To Be Faithful In Their Thanksgiving

The General Overseer and Founder of Victorious Heirs Christian Church INC, Pastor Ernest Otunkor has called on Christians to be faithful to God in Thanksgiving and their service to Him.

Pastor Otunkor made this call during the 2024 Annual Thanksgiving and celebration of God’s faithfulness with the theme “OUR GREAT GOD”.

He noted that since the beginning of this year 2024, the Lord had been faithful to his family members, his congregation, adding that all the members of his church who saw the beginning of the year 2024 are still alive till date irrespective of the hard economic situation.

The General Overseer, said that the 2024 Annual Thanksgiving and celebration of God’s faithfulness was unique in the sense that God personally chose the 15th of December, 2024 for the Annual Thanksgiving.

He said that the date was revealed to him through revelation and the voice was hearkened to.

He called on Christians all over the world to be faithful in their Thanksgiving at all times, pointing out that our God is Great and cannot be anything compared to him.

In a short sermon by the Guest Speaker, Pastor Ugochukwu whose sermon was drawn from the theme, “OUR GREAT GOD” referencing his topic from the Bible book of GENESIS 1:2, “on how God created the Earth and finally made Man in His own image and likeness, He breathed into him and gave Man the authority to have dominion over all living creatures”.

The Guest Speaker also made reference to the Bible book of Revelation and Isaiah and called on Christians to pray at all times.

He noted that God’s greatness can be achieved through praises, stressing that God is everywhere, supreme and above any other man made gods.

Pastor Ugochukwu further noted that our God is great, that He sent His only begotten son to die for our sins and for us to regain freedom from sin.

He called on Christians to be faithful in serving God and Admonished all to fear God and keep to his commandments.

The Founder and General Overseer Of VICTORIOUS HEIRS CHRISTIAN CHURCH, Pastor Ernest Otunkor as part of his Annual Appreciation, gave outstanding awards of excellence to some deserving members as a way to spur the members of the congregation to work harder on God’s vineyard.

The prize ranged from the most outstanding members, women, men and youths categories in the church.

The 2024 Annual Thanksgiving service featured group Thanksgiving for all Men, Women, Youths, Teenagers, Children, Ministers, Choir, Prayer Band/Prayer Warnors, Invited Guests, Family Thanksgiving and the Ewulu Christian Believers Association of Nigeria (ECBAN).

This Ewulu Christian Believers Association of Nigeria usually demonstrated their unique way of praising God in their traditional way, which they did during the thanksgiving service.
