Enabulele Appoints Emperor Tenebe Chairman Bendel Insurance FC
The Executive Chairman, Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele has confirmed the appointment of Emperor Jarret Tenebe as chairman of Bendel Insurance Football Club as part of efforts to strengthen the management of the club ahead of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
In a statement made available by the Media Aide of the Edo State Sports Commission boss, Edoko Wilson Edoko, the appointment of Emperor Jarret Tenebe as the new Chairman of Bendel Insurance FC takes immediate effect.
Jaret Tenebe succeeds the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu, who was recently appointed Director General of the National Institute For Sports (NIS) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“This decision is in line with the broader vision and objective His Excellency, Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo to take Insurance FC to an enviable height. Bendel Insurance finished last season in fifth place, and with Emperor Tenebe’s wealth of experience in football management as forever NFA chairman, we are confident he will take the club to greater heights,” Enabulele stated.
He added: “Governor Okpebholo is passionate about leveraging on sports as a tool for youths empowerment and social development.
The official unveiling ceremony for Emperor Tenebe as the new Chairman of Bendel Insurance FC has already been scheduled for next week.
