2nd Term: DELSU Postgraduate Students Purchase Nomination Form For Ivworin

ABRAKA- Members of the Postgraduate Students’ Association of Nigeria, PGSAN, Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka chapter, have purchased and presented the association’s presidential nomination form to the incumbent president, Rt. Comr. (Amb) Caleb Godwin-Ivworin, ahead of the forthcoming election.

The students, comprising representatives from various faculties and departments, converged on the DELSU Postgraduate School, Abraka, for the presentation of the nomination form.

Presenting the form, the association’s Public Relations Officer, PRO, Prince Ukuanovwe Godstime OJ, said the decision was driven by what he described as the incumbent president’s transformational and student oriented leadership.

Ukuanovwe said Ivworin’s administration had brought PGSAN closer to postgraduate students by responding to their concerns and challenges, while also introducing initiatives aimed at improving student participation and leadership development.

He specifically cited the inauguration of the PGSAN Postgraduate Students Leadership Summit, describing it as the first of its kind in the history of the association.

According to him, “We are presenting this form in the name of God Almighty and with the mandate of postgraduate students who believe in the leadership and transformative agenda of Comrade Caleb Ivworin.”

He assured the incumbent president of the support of postgraduate students who, he said, were interested in the continuation of his leadership.

Also speaking, Chairman of the DELSU Students Community and postgraduate student, Comrade Eyela Efe Kelvin, expressed confidence in Ivworin’s administration, saying postgraduate students were satisfied with his performance.

Kelvin described the incumbent president’s leadership as responsible and humble, adding that his administration had demonstrated commitment to the welfare and interests of postgraduate students.

Among those present at the presentation were Dr. Obruche, a former president of PGSAN; Comrade Kenneth Agwemuria of the Department of Educational Administration; and postgraduate student representatives from various faculties and departments.

The presentation is coming ahead of the forthcoming PGSAN election at DELSU, where postgraduate students are expected to elect new leaders to pilot the affairs of the association.
