The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Delta State, has released the schedule of activities for the 2026 NAPPS Day celebration, with chapters and member schools expected to participate fully in the week-long programme.

The activities will commence on Monday, October 5, with the celebration of Teachers’ Day, during which chapters and individual schools are expected to organise sensitisation and empowerment programmes for teachers.

On Wednesday, October 7, the association will hold an Awareness Campaign/Rally, Press Conference and visits to Community Information and Education Centres (CIEs).

As part of the activities, chapters and member schools are expected to engage their learners in community development projects within their host communities from October 7 to 9.

The projects are expected to focus on initiatives such as tree planting, erosion and flood control, environmental protection awareness campaigns and other activities aimed at improving the communities where the schools operate.

On Friday, October 9, the association will visit orphanages and/or children’s wards at central, general or community health centres within the various local government areas.

Also on Friday evening, members are expected to participate in keep-fit and sporting activities, including novelty football matches, table tennis and board games such as chess, Scrabble, Ludo, draughts and card games.

The grand finale will take place on Monday, October 12, when all member schools will observe a school-free day to enable members to travel to Ogwashi-Uku for the 2026 NAPPS Day celebration.

A major highlight of the grand finale will be the ground-breaking ceremony for the proposed NAPPS Delta State Ultra-Modern Secretariat and Educational Resort Centre.

Chapter leaders were urged to mobilise their members for full participation in this year’s event.
