The Newly elected Executive Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Delta State Council led by Comrade Michael Ikeogwu on Sunday gave thanks to God for the successful conduct of the election that ushered them into office.

The Thanksgiving service was held at the Mega Praise Church of Christ International, Sapele in Sapele Local Government Area of the state.

The NUJ Chairman, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu in a remark during the service said the election that saw him reelected for a second term was fierce with all manner of campaign of calumny.

He said, “We want to give God the glory that throughout this period, nobody died. Nobody had accident, nobody was kidnapped, nobody was robbed. We give God the glory for all that He has done for us. It is by him that we were elected and not by human efforts. We give him praise. We give him adoration.”
