The Executive Director, Finance and Administration #DESOPADEC, Chief Barr. John Nani has called on Christians in the world over to take adequate advantage of the Easter season to intercede for humanity.

He admonished them to pray fervently to God for peace and love to reign supreme among human beings as commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ, who he noted is our perfect example.

In a special goodwill message made available by his Personal Assistant, Mr Johnson Okpoh in Warri to Christians in commemoration of the 2021 Easter celebration, Nani admonished all Christians to use the season to seek the face of God and invoke his hands and victory on the Cross of Calvary on every challenging situation plaguing humanity, especially the insecurity situation in our dear nation.

Nani believes that intercession during this season avails much.

He puts it thus: “The objective of Christ’s death on the cross was because of the love he has for humanity and this he manifested in his redemptive mission for humanity from oppression of the devil and further conferment of access to the father’s will of prosperity, better life and eternal life on all who believe in him (Christians).”

He therefore enjoined believers across the globe to reflect on the sacrifice of Christ by extending a hand of love to people around them as they commemorate the death and resurrection of Christ.

While felicitating with Christians in the spirit of the season, he expressed optimism that the victory of Christ over death, which is the reason for the season, will find expression in the weird relationship among human beings, denying trust, brotherhood and communal living; cruelty reigning uncontrollably in the fold of men for the restoration of sanity, value for human life, harmonious living and unrivalled progress in all spheres.
