Udughan Condoles With Family Of Chief Mamamu, Eulogises Late Ijaw Leader

The Immediate Past Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, CON, has expressed his heartfelt condolence to the Mamamus over the demise of their father and elder statesman, Chief S.Y Mamamu who departed this world on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the age of 91.

Uduaghan recalled that the one-time Chairman of the Ijaw National Congress (INC) Western Zone and Torudiwei of Ogbe-Ijoh Kingdom in Warri South West LGA was one of the ethnic leaders who worked closely with him while he was Governor in maintaining peace and stability in the Delta creeks.

He said, “I am pained by the death of Chief Mamamu. He was always willing and available to help campaign for peace during the ill-fated Warri crises. After the crises, he was among those who helped in stabilizing the area.”

Until his death, late Chief Mamamu was the Founder and General Overseer of God’s Ministry (C.G.S) Int. Inc, Salvation City, New Ogbe-Ijoh.

The former Governor of Delta State prayed for the repose of his soul and ask God to grant his family strength to endure this difficult period.

He said: “I condole with his family. My heart is with them. May God Almighty grant them grace to go through this difficult period.”
