Insecurity: Delta LG Chair Talks Tough, Says No More Hiding Place For Cultists in Sapele
The chairman of Sapele Local Government Area in Delta State, Hon Eugene Inoaghan on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, took a tough stand against insecurity in the LGA insisting that his administration is determined to fight it.
The LG boss while addressing security chiefs in an emergency meeting held at the council Secretariat charged them not to compromise in the battle against security of lives and properties.
“Please don’t compromise, and let me assure you that I will never do so, anyone found in the act of cultism shall be made to face the full wrath of law. I shall be starting this with those in Government, and there will be no hiding place for any cultist in this local government area.
He however noted that anyone caught driving numberless vehicles will be arrested “because it has been reported that these hoodlums and perpetrators of evil move around in numberless vehicles,” he stated, adding that insecurity begins with everyone.

Meanwhile in a resolution taken at the meeting, and a press release made available to newsmen on Wednesday, October, 27, 2021, all keke and motorcycle operators have been mandated to register with their Union for proper documentation.
The chairman said this will help to checkmate the activities of motorcycle and keke operators within the local government as it has been alleged that some of this perpetrators of the occultic and incessant killing act move around with commercial tricycle and motorcycle.
Other steps taken to curb insecurity include that all okada are to work between the hours of 6am to 8pm on a daily basis and anyone caught outside this above-mentioned hours will be made to face the consequences
All POS outlets must also close by 6pm, adding that anyone caught violating the order shall be severely dealth with.
He further charged security operatives to intensify their efforts so as to keep the local government safe.
