Inoaghan Reads Riot Act To Cultists, Vows To Deal With Anyone Involved
Chairman of Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon Eugene Inoaghan has condemned in strongest terms, the recent shooting in the town by some persons alleged to be cultists and called on residents to cooperate with security agencies to unmask the criminals behind the heinous crime.
In a statement signed by the Chairman on Friday, Inoaghan urged security agencies to intensify their surveillance over the town and pledged the commitment of his administration to support all measures that would restore normalcy to residents of the town.
He said “the recent development should be condemned by well meaning Sapele people,” while insisting that security should be everyone’s responsibility
He continued: “As a government whose primary responsibility is the protection of lives and property as well as the welfare of its residents, i urge all Sapele people to partner with us and report to security agencies the activities of these persons with a view to assisting the society to get rid of such dangerous groups.
“Never again as a people shall we condone the activities of these known criminals as we all seem to agree that “enough is enough. Please trust us that we are on top of the situation.”

The chairman noted that his administration is doing everything to involve stakeholders and various arms of the security agencies to brainstorm on measures to stem the activities of these cultists.
“Please be rest assured that we are not sleeping over this issue and as I speak to you we are out there doing everything we can for your safety. The perpetrators of these crimes will not go Scot free and soon we will apprehend them and bring them to justice” he assured.
He however condoned with those who lost their lives in the attacks.
“May their souls and all those who lost their lives in similar circumstances find eternal rest in the bosom of God Almighty,” the chairman said.
