He said that security agents were already investigating the matter and that those behind the cult clash if caught will be made to face the full wrath of the law.

He urged residents in the area and the Igbudu market to go about their normal businesses, assuring that the security agencies have been drafted to the area to maintain law and order.

He, however said that the ongoing clashes between the hoodlums was not between indigenes of the area and Arewa people, but simply between between rival cult groups.

“I have directed the security agencies to beef up security surveillance in Warri South Local Government Area, especially Igbudu community so that people can go about their normal businesses without fear of molestation.

“Investigation is already ongoing and I want to assure the people of Warri South Local Government Area that anybody found wanting in this matter would be made to face the full weight of the law.

“I also want to warn parents to always monitor the movement of their children closely because government will not fail to deal with anybody that wants to breach security in the council area. Residents should report any suspicious movement of persons around their community to security operatives for prompt actions,” Tidi said.
