Udu LGA Congratulates Oborevwori On His Appeal Court Victory

The people of Udu Local Government Area has congratulated Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori over Monday’s Court of Appeal ruling, which upturns the lower court judgment and affirmed him as the PDP candidate to contest the 2023 Governorship election in Delta state.

The court affirmed Oborevwori’s emergence as the governorship candidate of the PDP duly elected at the May 25 2022 primary election for the 2023 general elections.

Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Chief Jite Brown, in a congratulatory message on behalf of the Udu people, stated that the Appeal Court’s verdict was a victory for democracy and the good people of Udu. whom he said gave their votes to Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori during the PDP primary election.

According to Chief Jite Brown, since Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori since got the mandate he has continued to show tremendous goodwill and support to Governor Ifeanyi Okiwa’s noble vision of advancing good governance and impact positively on the Udu people as true heroes of democracy.

Chief Jite Brown, PDP House of Assembly Candidate, while thanking God for the victory, appreciated the judiciary for rising up to its solemn responsibility of ensuring that justice prevails, stressing that the judgment was a clear indication that the third arm of government is the last hope of the common man.

The PDP House of Assembly hopeful, urged a few individuals who are still aggrieved with the court decision to put their differences behind and join hands with the governorship candidate in moving the party forward for total victory come 2023.
