DTSG, Zenith Bank Roll Out Match Fixtures For 2nd Edition Of Headmasters’ Cup Competition

The 2023 Zenith Bank sponsored Delta Headmasters Football Competition has entered knock out stage for the competing local government areas with zonal matches of the competition to be decided today Monday, 15th and Tuesday, 16th of May , 2023.

The winners of the preliminaries played in each of the 25 Local Government Areas would represent their LGAs in the zonal level.

According to fixtures of the zonal matches released by the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education and the sponsor of the competition, the Zenith Bank PLC, the venue for zone A comprised Oshimili North, Ika South and Aniocha South would be Ogbe-Otu Primary School, Issele-Uku and the winner of the match between Oshimili North and Ika South would compete with Aniocha North to book a place in the quarter final .

For zone B matches that would be played at Adaigbo Secondary School, Ogwuashi-Uku, LGAs to battle for supremacy included Aniocha North, Oshimili South and Ika North-East while the winner of the match between Aniocha North and Oshimili South would square up with Ika North-East for a slot in the quarter final.

In Utagba Ogbe Grammer School, Kwale, the three LGAs to compete for a place in the quarter final were Isoko South, Ethiope East and Ukwuani while the winner of the match between Isoko South and Ethiope East would have to slug it out with Ukwuani in the last zonal matches to decide the winner for the quarter final stage of the competition.

Similarly, in zone D which would be played at Irri Grammar School, Oleh ,the winner of the match between Ndokwa East and Ughelli North would still have to face Udu in order to secure a place in the quarter final.

Also to be decided at Urhobo College, Effurun are the zone E matches between Warri South West an Ethiope West and the winner of the match would meet Sapele to book a place in the quarter final while the local government that would triumph in the zone F match to be played in Nana College, Warri between Burutu and Okpe would square against Ughelli South for a place in the quarter final.

The zone G matches to be played at Government College Sports Pavilion, Ughelli would have Bomadi VS Ndokwa West and the winner of the match would have their faith of qualification to the quarter final stage to be decided when they face the winner between Patani and Isoko North .

At Okotie-Eboh Grammar School, Sapele, the zonal matches would be concluded with zone H where the LGA that would emerge victorious between Warri South and Warri North would meet Uvwie and the winner would automatically pick a quarter final slot for the zone.
