Ighrakpata Leads OSU Federal Constituency Steering Committee

…As Governor Oborevwori’s Re-Election In 2027 Declared A Top Priority

The Executive Chairman of the Delta State Internal Revenue Service, Hon. Solomon Ighrakpata, has been appointed as Chairman of the Okpe, Sapele, and Uvwie (OSU) Federal Constituency Steering Committee.

This decision was made during a meeting of critical stakeholders from the OSU Federal Constituency held on January 27, 2025, at Goldstep Hotel, Okoloba, Effurun, Delta State. The meeting saw unanimous endorsement of Hon. Ighrakpata by prominent PDP members and stakeholders.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Ighrakpata emphasized the collective responsibility of the stakeholders, stating, “As critical stakeholders, we must understand that we are not merely working for Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori. We are working for ourselves and for the betterment of our constituency.”

He further urged the stakeholders to rally unwavering support for the Delta State Governor, who hails from the OSU Federal Constituency. According to Ighrakpata, “The Governor is for all Deltans, but as our son, it is our duty to ensure his success and re-election in 2027. This is our collective project and responsibility.”

The convener of the meeting, Olorogun Barr. Kingsley Esiso, the immediate past Delta State PDP Chairman, commended Governor Oborevwori’s administration for its achievements in infrastructure and human capital development. He called on PDP members within the OSU Federal Constituency and the state at large to offer maximum support to the Governor, who has delivered across all three senatorial districts.

Esiso also urged the newly elected committee members to see their roles as a privilege and a call to service, encouraging them to strengthen party unity at all levels.

Elected Members of the Steering Committee:
Chairman: Hon. Solomon Ighrakpata, Vice Chairman: Hon. Austin Ayemidejor, Secretary: Hon. Ramson Ikweki, Treasurer: Dr. (Mrs.) Augustina Erah, Financial Secretary: Hon. Eugene Inoaghan and Organizing Secretary: Hon. Ramson Onoyake, and Chief Benson Okorodudu was elected as the Publicity Secretary of the committee.

For the position of coordinators and deputies, the following names made the list:
Coordinators and Deputies: Sapele LGA: Hon. Bright Abeke (Coordinator), Hon. Ejiro Tommy Jamani (Deputy Coordinator), Okpe LGA: Hon. Isaiah Esiovwa (Coordinator), Hon. Rose Ezewu (Deputy Coordinator), Uvwie LGA: Hon. Ofoni Tony (Coordinator), and Hon. Sunny Ekedayen was elected as Deputy Coordinator

Additionally, Hon. Perkins Umukoro and Hon. James Augoye were named ex-officio members, while Olorogun Barr. Kingsley Esiso was adopted as the Patron/Adviser of the committee.

The meeting, which was well attended by representatives from Okpe, Sapele, and Uvwie local government areas, solidified the resolve to support Governor Oborevwori’s administration and his re-election bid in 2027.
