Obaseki Reacts To Appeal Court Victory Over APC
Governor, Edo Sate, Godwin Obaseki, has reacted to his victory at the Court of Appeal on Thursday, as the case of certificate forgery by the All Progressives Congress (APC) was dismissed.
Recall that a suit filed by the APC challenging the eligibility of Governor Godwin Obaseki in the 2019 governorship election in Edo State was dismissed on Thursday.
It held that the petition by the APC was lacking in merit and declared that Obaseki, who was the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was qualified for the election.
In his reaction via a tweet, Obaseki said: “The judgement today by the Appeal Court sitting in Abuja on the certificate forgery case against me by the @OfficialAPCNg is a victory for democracy, equity, fairness and justice.”
