Chukwuemeke Holds Maiden Edition Of TVC Annual Symposium, As He Clocks 33

Victor Chukwuemeke popularly known as Mr. Due Process (Onye Ezhionum), on the 6th of October, 2021, held the maiden edition of The Victor Chukwuemeke (TVC) Annual Symposium, where youths were charged to be up and doing in order to secure a great future.

The programme was held alongside the celebration of his 33rd birth anniversary.

The glamorous occasion with theme: ‘Youth Involvement in Entrepreneurship: The Panacea for Sustainable Economic Development,’ took place at Ezhionum, his hometown in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State and had dignitaries from all walks of life in attendance.

Dignitaries present at the programme are His Excellency Amb. Dr. Dele Omenogor (Odogu Adiebuo of Amai Kingdom, Ofuko Neju Ekpeti of Emu Kingdom) represented by the General Manager, Konum Farms Ltd, Francis Mpieri, Royal Father of the day, HRM Amb. Dr. Evang. R. C. Osawunta JP (Ezhie of Ezhionum Kingdom, who also doubles as the Chairman, Ukwuani Traditional Rulers Council represented by High Chief (Engr) Lucky Ojuma, immediate past President-General of Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU), High Chief Johnson Ossai Opone FCA, Chairman, Governing Board College of Education, Warri, Ogbuefi VOT Abanum, and others.

The occasion was chaired by Sir Dele Omenogor.

Keynote Speakers during the ceremony were the Rector of Ogwashi-Uku Polytechnic, Prof. Emmanuel Achuenu, Prof. Mrs. Julie Nwabogo Umukoro (University of Port Harcourt), Dr. Vincent Nduka Ojeh, Dept. of Geography, Taraba State University, Jalingo and Phillip Beke, the Managing Director of Karhills Integrated Services Ltd.

Delivering his speech, the celebrant, said “TVC was born out of necessity to discuss issues bothering on the society as it affects security, economy, youth involvement in entrepreneurship, youth inclusiveness and participation in corporate Governance etc.”

He added: “There’s no doubt whatsoever, that our society, particularly Ndokwa ethnic nationality is faced with enormous challenges that seems almost insolvable by our leaders, whether elected or appointed. Those challenges include but not limited to insecurity, land grabbing, poverty, lack of adequate infrastructure and absence of government presence.”

While acknowledging the efforts of leaders in the area, he called on them to pay rapt attention in raising rural entrepreneurs, which he said is the panacea to economic development in every developed clime.

According to him, elected and appointed representatives in government, “seem to concentrate chunk of their energies to their political adventure, while paying less attention to the true essence of their representation,” adding that “this approach brings us back to Stone Age.”

Continuing, he said the symposium will be held annually.

“This has been one of my dreams to have people gathered to discuss the challenges of society. I strongly believe and hope, that it is true avenues like this, that we can collectively adopt approaches and profer holistic solutions to the challenges staring at us,” he said.

Highpoint of the ceremony was the cutting of the birthday cake by the celebrant who was joined by guests, family members, friends and well-wishers.
