Delta State Government has said that the monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise for the month of October will hold in the State on Saturday, October 30, 2021, between the hours of 7am and 10am.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Theresa Adiabua Oliko, Director of Information.
“There will be restriction of movement of persons and vehicles except those involved in inter-state journeys and those engaged in essential duties,” Oliko added.
Adding: “The Commissioner for Environment, Mr Chris Onogba, advised that people should fumigate their premises, cut overgrown weeds, desilt their drainages and keep their environment clean to prevent unwanted diseases.
“The Commissioner, staff of the Ministry of Environment, Environmental Taskforce and other relevant authorities will monitor the clean-up exercise while the local government authorities and other government agencies are directed to evacuate the resultant refuse for proper disposal.”
