Ogbeozoma Youths In OshimIli LGA Get New Executive

Stakeholders and the people of Ogbeozoma community of Okpanam in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State have been commended for their commitments and role in ensuring the successful conduct of the 2021 youths election in the area.

The Chairman of the Electoral Committee , Comrade Emmanuel Ezeadigwu gave the commendation while announcing the results of the youths election conducted in the community.

Comrade Ezeadigwu, who stated that the final election produced Anthony Okocha as chairman, Uche Ifesindi (unopposed as Secretary General) Oluchukwu Nwokobia I(unopposed Treasurer) , Aburo Ifesindi (Organising Sec) , Amechi Animudu(Financial Sec) and Seun Mokogwu (Provost) said that the ejection was designed to fill the gaps occasioned by the expiration the tenure of the outgoing executive.

In their separate remarks, a frontline aspiring President for Okpanam Youths Organisation, Comrade Lucky Okolo , the outgoing chairman of Ogbeozoma youths , Comrade Smart Ifesindi and Comrade Christian Nmunu advised youths to embrace peace and unity, adding that it was a family affair and that there was no victor no vanished.

While calling on the incoming executive to carry everybody along in the scheme of things and evolve ways of contributing towards the upliftment of the community and okpanam at large, Comrade Okolo specifically admonished youths in the area to always put the interests of the people in the front burners and shun personal goals .

In an interview with journalists, the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Okpanam / Ugbolu ward nine , Mr. Fred Odanwu and others including elder Parkar as well as elder Chuks Ishakwua urged the elected executive members to justify the confidence reposed in them by their people by ensuring that they brought positive change to the community.

In his post election speech, the chairman elect , Comrade Anthony Okocha, who said that he was overwhelmed with joy for emerging victorious in the election pledged to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the community.

Comrade Okocha appreciated his Kingsmen for their show of love and support, adding that he would operate an open door policy and prioritise the interests of the community even as he lauded his opponent in the election, Comrade Chukwuka Mokogwu for his sportsmanship .

The elected executive included Anthony Okocha (Chairman) ; Uche Ifesindi (Secretary unopposed) ; Oluchukwu Nwokobia (Treasurer unopposed) ; Aburo Ifesindi (Organising Secretary) ; Amechi Animudu (Financial Secretary); and Seun Mokogwu (Provost).
