A chieftain of PDP from Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Barr. Ogheneluemu Sylvester Imonina has congratulated the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori on his landslide victory at the recently held PDP Gubernatorial Primaries of the Party in Delta State. Barr. Imonina in a statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen, described the victory of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as a “testament of his Pan Deltanism and/or goodwill which is as a result of his capacity, dedication to good governance and his street credibility”.
Imonina further stated, “it is with infinite pleasure that I and members of my political family welcomed/received the news of your victory. Though, the road to the Primaries was tortuous, your doggedness and thirst for MORE development of our dear State kept you pushing till the last minute”.
In the said statement, Barr. Imonina expressed confidence in the ability of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to win the 2023 Gubernatorial election. According to him, “from available records, Oborevwori is a man whose name is synonymous with winning. His past Political forays show that Sheriff Oborevwori has a winning streak. He surely has what it takes to win the Governorship election for PDP and Deltans”.

Okowa has in no small measure helped to deepen party politics and democracy in Nigeria.
In another development, Barr. Imonina has called upon those who could not clinch the Party’s Gubernatorial ticket to join hands with Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori in entrenching the Party in the State for the good of the Party and the State. In his words, “after contest, there is always room for the coming together of all Leaders, critical stakeholders and Party faithfuls to work in synergy for the good of the Party. Members should put the heat of the run-up to the Primaries behind them and think PDP in all their actions and inactions”, he posited.
