Support Gov Oborevwori’s More Agenda, Ogedegbe Urges Groups
…Embarks On Beautification Of In-And-Out Of Council Secretariat
The Executive Chairman of Ethiope East local government area of Delta state, Hon. Augustine Usinefe Ogedegbe, has charged several groups across the state to continue to support His Excellency, Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori,s More Agenda so as to succeed.
Hon. Ogedegbe, who gave this charge when he played host to several groups including Ekpan-Ovu Elders Council, Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited, Ethiope East Chapter of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), World Health Organization (WHO) and others appealed to the groups to support Gov Oborevwori transformation of the state.
Ogedegbe who said Gov Oborevwori’s performance in his one year in office is a testament of his readiness and commitment to deliver dividends of democracy to Deltans irrespective of political party and religious, charged the groups to support the More Agenda which is the core mandate of the governor in ensuring a smooth and eventful administration.
The Ethiope Council boss, Hon. Ogedegbe had in on assumption of office, expressed his desire to ensure a team work with the local government civil servants, whom he referred to as the life wire of the council if he must deliver his campaign promises to the people of Ethiope East who offered him their mandate during the chairmanship election.
Hon. Ogedegbe had played host to the Ekpan-Ovu Elders Council at his country home Ovu, the ancestral home of Ovu community, commended the elders led by Chief Macaulay Kokori, the Otota in Council and Mr. John Ebareki, Secretary-General of Ekpan-Ovu, for applauding him on the development and progress in Ovu communities, his victory and successful swearing-in as Executive Chairman of Ethiope East local government council.
In a bid for synergy and brighter future for Ethiope East people, Hon. Ogedegbe, recently embraced the public and private partnership, by playing host to Dr. Jeremiah Oharisi, Head of Community Relations at Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited with his team to harness on the importance of maintaining a good working relationship with a view to opening Ethiope East to investors and investments.
Hon. Ogedegbe also received members of the Ethiope East Chapter of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture where the group proposed a partnership aimed at bringing industries to the local government not only to produce but also to processed raw materials, describing the initiative as one that will benefit Ethiope East if we’ll harnessed..
The council boss, had also on assumption of office played host to members of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) led by Mrs. Florence Ohimor, the Treasurer to the Local Government (TLG), expressing her heartfelt congratulations on his emergence as the Chairman Ethiope East local government council, saying that the visit is a reaffirmation of the strong ties between his administration and the professional bodies in the advancement of the local government.
The council boss, Hon. Ogedegbe also played host to members of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ethiope East Council Health Authority during an important advocacy visit centered on the upcoming measles vaccination campaign with
delegation led by Dr. Itobore Ofuegbe and Mrs Elohor Igbunuoghene on how to mobilize for the forthcoming measles campaign, a critical public health initiative to protect the communities, particularly children from this deadly disease.

He has assured members of the Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC of safety of lives and property as the number one security officer of the local government area.
Hon. Ogedegbe who gave the assurance when he played host to the members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) in his office at Isiokolo, headquarters of Ethiope East local government area, said he would collaborate with the security agents to secure the lives and property of his people.
The council boss who said security is not the duty of individual but everybody, promised a good working relationship with the Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC and other sister security agents in ensuring that Ethiope East is a crime free zone for criminal elements and their likes.
Hon. Ogedegbe while reassuring members of PCRC, he said his administration will prioritize security and expressed the council’s readiness to work in synergy with the PCRC to ensure the safety of all residents in Ethiope East, saying that his office is always open for ideas that will better the lives of his people.
Earlier, the group led by Amb. Comr. Omarayerue Blessing Egbagbara JP, said their visit to the council chairman is to engaged his administration on matters of community security and the well-being of the people and their business in all parts of the local government.
Amb. Egbagbara had used the opportunity of the courtesy visit congratulated the council chairman, Hon. Augustine Ogedegbe on his victory at the local council poll held on the 13th July, 2024 and his successful swearing-in as the first executive chairman from Ovu community.
Egbagbara said PCRC was founded by the late Inspector General of Police, Mr. Etim Inyang, and was designed to build stronger cooperation between the police and the community, highlighting the divisions under the Ughelli Area Command, which the PCRC represents as Agbarho, Isiokolo, Ofuoma, Orogun, Otu-Jeremi and parts of Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Ethiope East.
Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of Ethiope East local government area, Hon. Augustine Usinefe, has embarked on the beautification of the in-and-out of the council secretariat to give the local government and its environment a facelift inline with the More Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administrator.
He said this initiative become necessary believing the adage that charity begins at home and the saying cleaningess next to godliness, hence he has decided on this path in ensuring that the council is not only beautify but becomes a conducive environment for all workers and staff the such, it is only fitting that we start with our immediate environment—the council secretariat.
This initiative is part of his mission and vision to ensure that the council area is judged as one of the best local government by creating a conducive atmosphere for service delivery, which moo doubt will reflects the dream and aspiration of the administration of the Executive Chairman of Ethiope East, Hon. Augustine Usinefe Ogedegbe.
