Lay Down Your Arms, Embrace Peace, CP Tells Aladja/Ogbe-Ijoh Communities By Michelle Michael

Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Zanna Ibrahim has implored the warring Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh communities to lay down their arms and embrace peace or face severe consequences.

This was contained in a press release made available to journalists recently at the Delta State Police Command, Asaba, recently.
According to him, following the recent outbreak of crisis between Ogbe-Ijoh and Aladja communities, security agencies in terms of manpower and logistics have been reinforced, adding that the public should have no cause for alarm or apprehension of any kind as the deployment is tailored to augment existing security structures and to checkmate infiltration from all sides.
In another development, CP Ibrahim has said that the issues that led to the chaos and anarchy in Idumuje-Ugboko could easily have been resolved.

He noted that the efforts of Zone ‘5’ and Delta State Police Command led to the present peace enjoyed there now, adding that the Command is however reiterating its earlier calls on all the persons involved in the crisis to eschew violence and embrace dialogue towards a lasting and acceptable peace in the community.
