Organisers of the much anticipated Oasis Magazine ‘Distinguished Nigerian Awards’, holding at Iyemere Civic Center, Obiaruku, Delta State, have said that the Governor of Anambra State, Executive Governor, Anambra State,
HRM Major General Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd.), Orodje of Okpe Kingdom;
Sir Engr. (Dr.) Dele Omenogor, Chairman/CEO, Konum Farms Limited, Amai, Delta State; Bishop (Dr.) Curtis Fianu, Church of God Mission, Warri Bishopric and Hon. Rambi Ibrahim Ayala (The 1st Gamzakin Tangale), Chairman, House Committee on Water Resources & Environment, Gombe State will be honoured in the 2017 edition of the programme.
Also, in a press release made available to media houses by the organizers, other persons to be awarded include: M/Captain Ovweghre Jacob, Ag D.G, Maritime Security Agency (MASECA); Engineer Jude Sinebe, Hon. Commissioner for Higher Education; Engineer Gregory Ighere; Rev. Fr. Christopher Ekabo, Parish Priest, St. Patrick Catholic Church, Sapele; Ogbueshi Emma Okocha; Olorogun (Dr.) Felibens Okoro, Branch President, Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), Rivers State; Lady Mercy Muoboghare, Deputy Director (DD), Post Primary Education Board, Warri Zonal Office; Chief Fred Sowho and Apostle Nosakhare Samuel Egharevba, Presiding Apostle, The Light of the World Bible Church of God Int’l Inc., Nigeria.
Nominees for this year’s event also include: Hon. Austin Ayemidejor, Special Project Director, Asaba and Osubi International Airport; Comr. Kehinde Prince Taiga, Chairman, Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, CDHR, Delta State Branch; Comr. Ossai Ovie Success, Political Aide to Delta State Governor (Special Duties), Comr. According to the press release, the Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is expected to grace the event as the Special Guest of Honour, while the occasion will be chaired by Engineer Matthew Ideh, a foremost philanthropist in the state.

A lecture titled, ‘Restructuring: Nigeria’s Value System and the Way Forward’ will be delivered by Engineer Otite Imarah, as several celebrity artistes will be on ground to spice up the event.
The ceremony which holds alongside the magazine’s 4th anniversary is billed to kick off by 11 a.m., with a red carpet at 10.30 a.m.
