Nwa-Ada Ndokwa Queen, Dafiotu Emanuella Adaeze Dethroned
Owing to the continuous bridging of terms in the document that binds Queen Dafiotu Emanuella Adaeze with the management of Tisova Relief Concepts (TREC), organizers of Nwa-Ada Ndokwa which she signed on the 13th of November 2016, prior to her participation in the 2016 edition of Nwa Ada Ndokwa Cultural Beauty TV Reality Show has led to her dethronement.
According to the Board of Directors of TREC, the decision to dethrone Dafiotu Emanuella Adaeze, who represented Umukwuata community of Ukwuani LGA from her position as the reigning Queen of the Nwa-Ada Ndokwa brand was deemed necessary after series of complaints reached the management.
The board claimed that Emmanuela’s misconduct on the social media and other ways got to them, noting that all means by the management to bring her to order proved abortive.
Following her dethronement, TREC has directed her to desist from using the Title “Nwa-Ada Ndokwa” henceforth.
Our findings showed that the reasons for her dethronement are: company image assassination via unhealthy public posts on social media; lackadaisical attitude to the execution of her pet project and company functions; poor and bad influence on social media as against her role model demand as a queen; snubbing of calls from the management; sheer absenteeism from Nwa-Ada Ndokwa first management project (visit to the orphanage) outreach which is compulsory for all queens, especially her being the reigning queen; reluctancy to attend Nwa Ada Ndokwa activities (absence at fellow queen’s pet project execution); refusal to carry out tasks issued by the brand’s Initiator to facilitate the execution of her pet project and redeem her image in the media via positive posts; active participation at the Deltan Queen contest without approval from TREC management, an issue she has been told will only be made possible with permission from management and no response received from her with respect to the query sent to her by TREC management and absentism from the meeting wherein she was summoned to respond to her query.
Speaking with the Initiator, Queen Valeen Oseh, a First Class graduate of Computer Science from Delta State University, Abraka, she said that “we have always told all Nwa-Ada Ndokwa participants that we are not interested in raising ceremonial title holders as queens, but worthy cultural ambassadors who would make positive impact in Ndokwa Nation through their lifestyle and pet projects.”
She continued: “There is a lot tied to the Nwa-Ada Ndokwa title; it is not just a name, but a Campaign. The name stands for “The First Daughter” and as we all know, the first daughter has a lot of responsibilities. She must uphold the Ndokwa culture of which respect and decency is planked on, be a role model to those behind her and must stand in for the mother when she isn’t around. There is a lot at stake if she fails, so she must live an exemplary life at all times to be on top of her game. Having a queen who cannot be this person is not worthy of the Nwa-Ada Ndokwa title.”
“The dethronement of Emmanuella Dafiotu as Nwa-Ada Ndokwa Nigeria and Diaspora is necessitated by her uncontrollable deviant and unholy behavour which is considered dirty and degrading of what the Nwa-Ada NDOKWA Brand stand for as well as to the Nigerian pageant and modeling industry.
“We call on all Nigerians to ignore any indecent claim or utterances that may be made by the dethroned queen. She is dethroned in the best Interest of the Ndokwa Nation and culture, the pageant and modeling industry in Nigeria and the noble personalities who have been our sponsors and have endorsed the initiative. We are always focused to practice what we preach,” she added.
Speaking further, she stressed that this move is to “serve as a deterrent to other beauty queens who think they are bigger than the brand they represent and can get away with any misconduct exhibited.”
Attempts to contact the dethroned queen proved abortive.
