I Have Renounced My Membership Of “Arubaga” Cult, Says Bright Ogberakwe

A citizen of Sapele in Delta State, Mr. Godwin Bright Ogberahwe, has renounced his membership from a secret cult known as Arubaga.

This decision by Ogberahwe to turn a new leaf and shun cult activities we learnt was done in 2015.
Mr. Ogberahwe, a native of Mosogar, in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State now an Evangelist, worshipping with the Omega Prophetic Ministry, Amukpe where he resides, during a chat with journalists, said he became a Christian after he was convicted by Christ which made him immediately declare his intentions to members of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN).
Present at the declaration in Sapele at the VGN office were the commander, Mr. Randy Timishe and his secretary, Mr. Obukohwo Obarakpor.
The duo advised him to also make an open declaration in the court and subsequently in news mediums for the general public to be aware.
Mr. Ogberahwe added that other members of the cult group are aware of the development.
The affidavit as to his “Non-membership of the secret cult” sworn to at the Magistrate Court, Delta State of Nigeria in the Sapele Magisterial District read in part: “I, Godwin Bright Ogherahwe (M) Christian, residing at No 12, Ogorode Road, Amukpe Sapele Delta State states “that I was a member of a secret cult society. That I have renounced my membership as a secret cult member and that I am no longer a member of any secret cult society.”
The statement added “that I am not a member or sponsor of any secret cult wherever and I will never aid or abet the activities of any secret cult society hence this declaration and that I swear to this affidavit for the information of the general public and to whom it may concern to not.”
He disclosed that initially he was harassed by members of the cult to pay a certain amount of money to them if he must live as soon as they heard of his exit from their group, but when he also threatened that he will take them up through the instrumentality of the government where he has declared his non-membership of the group, saying thatsince then they have stopped the harassment.
He stated that this publication is intended for the general public including all arms of the security agencies to be aware of his renouncement from the secret cult where he was a member and that he is now a born again child of God, winning souls into the kingdom of God.
