Fulani Herdsmen Killings: Okorie Calls On The Federal Government To Intervene

The Federal Government has been called to take a stand that will put an end to the incessant loss of lives and wanton destruction of property by Fulani herdsmen.
The Delta State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Comrade Kenneth Okorie, made the call while speaking on some contemporary issues confronting the nation.
Comrade Okorie said if Operation Python dance of the Nigerian military could destabilize activities of Biafra agitators in the South East, another of such should be established to confront the herdsmen that have become a huge threat to communities in the six geopolitical zones of the country.
On the recent threat of Niger Delta Avengers to resume bombing of oil installations, the youth leader appealed to them to embrace dialogue, as renewed hostility could plunge the nation into another round of economic recession that may culminate in economic depression.
He urged the federal government to look into ways of using the resources gotten from the region to address some of her socioeconomic needs as a palliative measures to stamp out agitation.
Comrade Okorie equally frowned at the loss of Nigerian youths in illegal foreign trips all in the name of searching for greener pastures and advised them to look inwards and maximize the various opportunities around to earn a living.
He described as disheartening the way thousands of youths were killed in Libya and other countries, and called on youths to avoid such life threatening foreign voyage as the country has alot to offer them to get to the pinnacle of their dreams.
He reminded government at all levels of the need to carry youths along, pointing out that the future of any nation is dependent on investment on her youths.
Comrade Okorie reminded youths of the need to put the interest of the nation above other considerations in this year that will witness alot of political activities.
