DELSU Matriculates 5, 446 Students
…as VC Warns Against Social Vices
No fewer than 5,446 students have been offered provisional admission into various departments of Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, out of the 17, 661 students who participated in the Post-UTME screening exercise of the institution.
Disclosing this today at Abraka, during the matriculation ceremony for the 2017/2018 academic session, Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Victor Peretomode, also hinted that a total of 30, 867 candidates applied for admission into the university.
According to the the Vice Chancellor, with the accreditation exercises in May and November, 2017, the National Universities Commission, NUC, may increase the university carrying capacity to boost admission of candidates into the university.
Also, in his address, Prof. Peretomode warned every student to shun all forms of vices, stressing that any student involved in cultism, examination malpractices and other anti-social vices would be shown the way out.
