Starford Academy Hosts Inter-house Sports Competition, As Peretomode House Clinches 1st Position
Starford Academy, Abraka, has successfully organized her 3rd inter-house sports competition.
The event which took place yesterday at the school’s premises saw 6 houses putting forth their best representatives in the various sporting activities.
During her address, the proprietress, Mrs. Justina Ogboru, noted that the needs for sporting activities cannot be overemphasized, adding that in future competitions, sports like taekwando and karate would be included.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Izu Christopher, Vice Chairman, Ethiope East Local Government Area, represented by Hon. Alex Omajuwa, Councilor, Ward 3, urged the students of the institutions to be humble, focused and hardworking to be able to get to enviable heights.
Results announced, saw Blue House (Peretomode House), Purple House (Ojeta II House) and White House (Ogboru House) clinch the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions with 184, 174 and 161 points respectively.
Other houses that took part in the competition are Red House (Hon. Christopher Izu), Green House (Evance Ivwurie House) and Yellow House (Engr. Enamuotor House.
